I feel trapped, living in Singapore.
I can't go anywhere without my mother making my father drive me there.
Well, I don't have any motivation to go anywhere most days, anyway.
I miss living in UQ, where I could walk up to the post office if I needed a stamp (here, my parents post my mail), and I could take the buses/Citycat (river ferry) to Mass or the city or WHEREVER, and there were always friends dropping by my room, and various Catholic events to attend.
There are Catholic things I've been doing in Singapore, but muzzled and unmotivated as I am, I don't get out that much.
I'm looking forward to meeting up with my CJC classmates tomorrow evening! Haven't seen Anna since her wedding 4 years ago.
One thing I do love about living here is the amazing view from my bedroom/the balcony, of the little patch of tropical rainforest behind my block =D
And thanks be to God, I can now honour all my appointments with various Australian friends passing through Singapore during these 4 months!
The best way to treat obstacles is to use them as stepping-stones. Laugh at them, tread on them, and let them lead you to something better. ― Enid Blyton, Mr Galliano's Circus
